About Us

Hobby Senior Squadron, TX-451, is a member of Group IV, Texas Wing, Civil Air Patrol.
Chartered in 2005, the Hobby Senior Squadron has actively engaged in fulfilling its mission for the community and the nation. Our squadron is heavily focused on the Emergency Services mission and trains for search and rescue, disaster relief, homeland security, aerial photo reconnaissance, and other relation missions.
You do not have to be a pilot to join the Civil Air Patrol! Many of the opportunities CAP has to offer do not require any knowledge of aviation at all. We have opportunities for non-pilot aircrew (scanners, observers, photographers, etc.), ground teams, communications, media/public relations, personnel and administration, safety, and more.
Regular Meetings
We meet at the Million Air facility at Hobby Airport on the first and third Monday of each month at 7PM.
Aircraft

We are the custodians of a Civil Air Patrol 1986 Cessna 172P Skyhawk, N9510L, based at Pearland Regional Airport (KLVJ). The aircraft is used in support of all CAP missions and is flown for search and rescue, disaster relief, homeland security, aerial photography, cadet orientation flying, or any other tasking that we’re called upon to serve.
